Wheel Bearing

Wheel hub bearings are used to allow the hub to turn on the axle as well as supporting the weight of the vehicle. They are also referred to as axle bearings. They are used to ensure that the wheels function properly and run smoothly by minimizing friction.

The bearing can support both axial and radial loads and are lubricated with heavy and high temperature grease to allow little friction and prevent wear. They also help to keep the rotating wheel attached to the car.

Features
They have both an outer race which is stationery and an inner race which is able to rotate. Wheel hub bearings are produced as a hub unit which is enclosed and contains one or two bearings. They are designed for two types of applications, for the wheels being driven as well as the non-driven wheels.

Application
Wheel hub bearings are used in trailers, bicycles, and various other wheeled-vehicles.
